Get to know us with our guest’s commonly asked questions.

Yes our front desk is available 24 hours. Reservations is open 9-5pm Monday to Sunday.

Check in is anytime from 3pm.

Please contact reception on the morning to request an early check in.  Early check in cannot be guaranteed but we will do our best to accommodate you.  Luggage can be left at reception prior to check in if you wish.

A late check out may be possible at an additional charge.  Please check with Reception upon check in.

Wake up calls can be arranged with the Receptionist upon check in.

An upgrade to our Mary Suite may be possible depending on availability.  Please contact reception to make an enquiry.

Yes of course.  If you are celebrating a special occasion and would like us to arrange flowers, Champagne, chocolate dipped strawberries or a bottle of wine for your room prior to check in please contact reception and we will be delighted to help.

Yes we can store your luggage prior to checking-in, and after checking-out.

There is a laundry bag in your room.  Should you require a laundry service please drop the laundry bag to reception before 10am for next day service.

Food and drink options are available in our Garden Lounge and Henry’s Restaurant. The following are our opening times:

Garden Lounge:
Breakfast: Monday to Friday 7am to 10am, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays 8am to 10.30am
Carvery Lunch: Monday to Friday 12.30pm to 3pm and Sunday 12.30pm to 7pm
Bar Food: Monday to Wednesday: 3pm to 8pm Thursday to Saturday 3pm to 8.30pm

Henrys Restaurant:
Summer Opening Hours: Monday to Wednesday 3pm to 8pm, Thursday & Friday 3pm to 8.30pm, Saturday 1pm to 8.30pm, Sunday 12.30pm to 7pm

We have double rooms, king bed rooms, family rooms and a suite.

Pets are not permitted to stay in the hotel with the exception of Guide Dogs.

There is free public Wi-Fi available throughout the hotel.

The Glenside is all on one level.  There are no stairs or lifts.

Gift vouchers are available to purchase on our website or directly at reception.

All of our bedrooms and indoor public areas are non-smoking.  We have a designated smoking area located in our gardens.

Yes, the hotel has ample free parking.

You can rent a car nearby at Enterprise Drogheda or Europcar Drogheda.

You will be provided with shampoo, shower gel, soap and shower cap in your bedroom.

Some of our rooms have baths.  Please request if you prefer a bath rather than a shower.

Contact a member of staff at reception and they will arrange to have it posted back to you.

To make a bedroom reservation a card number must be provided for guarantee of arrival.

There are no additional fees if you book directly. 

We accept all major credit cards and cash.

Yes you can book on behalf of another person but you must guarantee the arrival via your credit card.

You must be over the age of 18 to make a room booking.

For wedding room bookings we request a deposit of €50 per room.  All other bookings are guaranteed by credit card.

Yes, all room bookings are guaranteed even if made on a third party website

Visit the website on which you made the booking to make an amendment.  If you booked directly you can call reception to make an amendment.

You must give at least 24 hours notice of cancellation (cancel before 12pm the day before your arrival date).  In the event of late cancellation or non arrival, the first nights accommodation will be charged in full to the credit card number provided or your deposit paid will be forfeited.

Visit the website on which you made the booking to cancel.  If you booked directly you can call reception to make an amendment.

Families are more than welcome to The Glenside.

We have a number of rooms which have a double bed and single bed.  A camp bed or cot can be added to these rooms to cater for up to two adults and two children under 12 years old.

Yes you can view our children’s menu online.

Yes, changing facilities are available in toilets of the hotel.

Unfortunately there no rooms adapted for accessible users.  The hotel is however located on one level and we have had many wheelchair users book our standard rooms.

Accessible parking spaces are located just outside the main entrance of the hotel.

The entrance is step-free and completely accessible.

Guide dogs/service dogs are welcome at The Glenside.

Yes, there is a wheelchair accessible bathroom just to the right of reception.

Yes, Henrys Restaurant is open 7 days for the summer months.

Yes, The Garden Lounge offer drinks and bar food and has access to our beautifully landscaped gardens.  There is an outside dining and drinks area in our Garden Lounge.

Breakfast can be arranged to your room with a tray charge. This must be arranged with reception the night before.

We can offer a room charging facility if you provide a pre-authorisation of your credit card upon check in.

Our Eilis Suite is available for private dining for groups of 50 to 170 guests. Smaller groups can book tables in Henrys Restaurant.

We can cater for up to 170 guests.

The Eilis Suite caters for medium to large sized meeting and conferences.

We can cater for up to 200 guests in a theatre style setting and 170 in a cabaret/dinner setting.

We have a portable screen, projector and flipcharts available.  There is an up-to-date audio system with roving and wired microphones.

Yes we can provide tea/coffee breaks with options for pastries, scones, sandwiches and finger food. Light lunch options and served lunches are available.

We are located approximately 40km from Dublin City Centre.

Bus Eireann 101 stops outside the hotel and will take you to Dublin Airport and Dublin Busáras.

Southgate Shopping Centre is located less than 2km from the hotel.  Scotch Hall Shopping Centre is just over 10 minutes drive away.  The Pavilions Shopping Centre in Swords is a 25 minutes drive from the hotel.

The Glenside is located in the heart of the Boyne Valley Region.  There are plenty of amazing experiences to enjoy from building a sand castle on one of the many fabulous beaches located close by to riding a rollercoaster in Emerald Park (only 25 minutes drive).  Newgrange is located just 15 minutes drive from the hotel. We have ample car parking to the front and rear of the hotel.

There is no booking required for parking.

Henry’s at the Glenside with a gorgeous vintage design and hearty wholesome food is located in the hotel.  Other restaurants are available within a few minutes drive.

Bru na Boinne, Millmount Museum, Mellifont Abbey, Bective Abbey, Slane Castle and the Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre are all located within 20 minutes drive of The Glenside.

The Glenside has beautiful, mature landscaped gardens which are the perfect backdrop to enjoy a Carvery lunch, pre dinner cocktail or a spot of evening bar food.

No but Bus Eireann 101 will take you from right outside the door of the hotel to Dublin Airport.

Yes, The Glenside is a HSE approved wedding venue. You can celebrate your entire day in one place by having your wedding ceremony with us.

You are welcome to bring your own suppliers providing that they have their own public liability insurance.

Karen & Aogán will guide you through the entire process from the booking process right up until the day of your Wedding.

The Glenside has 17 bedrooms in total.

The Glenside offer ample free parking for your guests.

This will depend on the wedding package that you choose and how many guests you will have in attendance on the day.  Karen and Aogán will offer you an estimate based on your chosen package.

You must book your wedding at least 3 months in advance. For peak dates, we suggest booking at least 12-24 months in advance.

Yes there is €1000 discount for off peak dates for 2025 for weddings of 100+ guests.

The initial deposit of €1000 is non refundable and non transferrable.  A second non refundable, non transferable deposit if required 6 months prior to your date. For full terms and conditions please visit the back pages of our wedding packages brochure.

Yes we have a bridal suite complete with 4 poster bed, walk in wardrobe and jacuzzi bath.

This option is only available for certain dates and would require you booking rooms for the night before your wedding. If this is something you are interested in please discuss it with Karen and Aogán.

Yes of course.  Once booked in advance we can cater for a rehearsal dinner.

We can provide a portable screen and projector.  We have a top of the range sound system with speakers and microphones which are available for speeches.  We do not allow outside parties to plug into our system.  They must bring their own equipment.

Yes, we can put you in touch with some of the best local wedding suppliers in the area.

You can have both!  Our All Inclusive Package includes our House DJ with an option to upgrade to our House Band.  You are also welcome to bring your own Band/DJ.

Our dancefloor is fully integrated into our Eilis Suite and is perfect for dancing the night away at your wedding!

We can put you in touch with a wedding décor company which we work closely with.

Yes of course, we love themed weddings at The Glenside

We allow dogs at the ceremony only.

You must first set up a private viewing and meet with either Karen or Aogán.  We can provisionally hold a date for up to 14 days after which a €1000 non-refundable, non transferable deposit is required to secure your date. A further €1500 is due 6 months before your wedding date.
